I was about knee deep into iron flame when I picked up another book that caught my eye. I was not planning to forgo my reading plans for this story, but Blacktail by Scott Hawkins absolutely wrecked my TBR and would not let go of me. I loved this story so much, the horror and the magic all woven together in this seemingly small scale story bridged a gap between my old red wall obsession and my newfound love of grimdark fantasy and horror stories. This is one that everyone should have on their radar. #books #bookreview #blacktail #horrorbooks #darkfantasybooks
