Bookitis policy

Weekly conversation

The current public ranking contract is ranked-data-eligibility-v1. It uses an eligible rolling seven-day window, requires distinct creators for the public conversation view, and uses deterministic tie-breaking. The current and previous snapshots are retained for comparison and audit.

Rank is a measure of observed indexed conversation under those rules. It is not a measure of objective quality, popularity across all platforms, or a creator’s complete audience.

Bookitis policy

Hidden-gem signal

The hidden-gem view requires positive recommendation language from four independent creators in the prior 30 days, then passes through review and research controls. It is a discovery signal, not a paid endorsement or quality certification.

Controls and changes

Legal, safety, privacy, source-rights, and creator opt-out controls override ranking eligibility. Editors record explanations and evidence for material decisions. When the ranking contract changes, this page and the methodology page receive a new version and date before the changed behavior is treated as current.

Questions about a rank can be submitted through Corrections.
