About Bookitis

Bookitis is an independent, attributed index of current BookTube conversation—a useful map of public discussion, not a complete catalogue of readers or creators.

Version 2026-08-23Last updated August 23, 2026Public draft · named review required before launch

Bookitis policy

Our scope

We connect public creator, video, book, and topic records so readers can see what is being discussed now. Coverage is a selected eligible sample; it is not every creator, reader, sale, or conversation.

Bookitis does not claim that a rank, topic, or summary is an objective measure of literary quality or a creator’s complete taste.

Bookitis policy

Ownership and responsibility

Bookitis is maintained by the Bookitis product/editorial team. The team owns the product experience, indexing rules, editorial decisions, and support process. Original books, videos, names, thumbnails, and other source material remain with their applicable rights holders.

Named product-owner, data-rights, accessibility, and counsel reviews are tracked in the Package 12 launch checklist; approval has not been represented here until recorded.

Bookitis policy

Our operating principles

  • Attribute public source material and link readers to the source.
  • Keep automated signals distinct from approved editorial taxonomy.
  • Provide correction, claim, removal, and accessibility paths.
  • Keep sponsorship and commercial decisions separate from ranking and editorial approval.
