The Iron Angel

In 1914 New Orleans, a series of murders targeting women in the Storyville district prompts Tom Anderson, the 'King of Storyville,' to summon Creole detective Valentin St. Cyr. Despite his reluctance and his wife's concerns, St. Cyr returns to the red-light district to investigate a killer who taunts the police under the name 'Gregory.' As the investigation unfolds, a parallel mystery emerges involving a woman named Evangeline in a backwoods convent, leading to a high-stakes race against time as a storm approaches the city.
