Of Darkness and Light

by Ryan Cahill · 2021

As the thousand-year-old bastion of Belduar faces its greatest trial, Calen Bryer and his companions stand ready to defend the city and its new king against the relentless Lorian empire and the terrifying onset of the Dragonguard. Heroes will rise, but nations will fall as the walls of hope are put to the ultimate test. In the north, Calen’s sister Ella arrives at the port of Antiquar with Faenir, fearless in the face of the unknown and determined to see the conflict through to the end. Meanwhile, deep within the Circle of Magii in Al’Nasla, Rist Havel grapples with newfound powers, unaware that his every move is watched and measured. Greatness resides within him, but history warns that great men can do terrible things. As Lorian forces land on southern shores and rebellion stirs, only the Knights of Achyron perceive the true, chilling danger lurking in the shadows—a dark force that hungers for blood and fire, a coming shadow that will not stop until it consumes everything.
