Heir of Illusion

by Madeline Taylor · 2025

Ivy Pomeroy wields the rare magic of illusion, but even her most daring tricks cannot break the enchanted collar that binds her to a ruthless king. Forced to serve as his assassin‑mistress, she secretly plots his downfall and a chance at true freedom. When Thorne, a mysterious reaper hunting the same ancient artifact that could shatter her shackles, arrives in the city, Ivy is forced into a fragile alliance with the very enemy she despises. As they race against deadly rivals and uncover hidden motives, their partnership ignites a volatile mix of curiosity, desire, and betrayal. Ivy must decide how far she’ll go to claim her liberty, and whether the bond forming with Thorne will become her greatest weapon—or her ultimate undoing.
