Then There Was You

by Kara Isaac · 2017

Paige McAllister’s life has been a careful choreography of safety: a stagnant career, a boyfriend who won’t relocate, a lost brother, and a shattered dream of concert violin. When the weight of six predictable years finally snaps, she impulsively trades Chicago’s skyline for Sydney’s sun‑lit streets. There, she lands a job as a logistics planner for one of Australia’s biggest churches—an unexpected role that throws her into the orbit of Josh Tyler, the charismatic frontman of a top‑selling worship band. Josh, scarred by past romances that threatened his reputation and family, is determined to keep his life on a tight, controlled track. The clash of Paige’s fierce independence and Josh’s guarded ambition ignites a volatile chemistry as they’re forced to co‑organize his next world tour. Together they must decide whether to cling to familiar security or risk everything for a love that could rewrite both of their futures.
