Dauntless

by Dina L. Sleiman · 2015

When a baron's daughter is branded an enemy of the crown after her father's botched assassination of the king, Lady Merry Ellison refuses to surrender to fate. She retreats to the ruins of her childhood village, gathering its orphaned children into a daring band known as the Ghosts of Farthingale Forest. With a blend of cunning, swordplay, and a fierce sense of justice, Merry becomes a living legend—a female Robin Hood who robs the corrupt to protect the innocent. Meanwhile, Timothy Grey, the ninth son of a minor noble, dreams of a heroic deed that will lift him from obscurity. Assigned to the earl of Wyndeshire, he encounters the Ghosts and is drawn into Merry’s world of covert raids and whispered rumors. As their paths collide, Timothy must decide whether to chase personal glory or stand beside the outlaw who challenges the throne. Sleiman weaves a pulse‑pounding historical adventure filled with romance, intrigue, and the timeless clash between legend and power, offering a fresh, adult‑YA crossover for fans of Robin Hood and strong, resourceful heroines.
