The Thief of Blackfriars Lane

by Michelle Griep · 2021

In fog‑shrouded Victorian London, Constable Jackson Forge is determined to bring order to the city’s chaotic streets, while Kit Turner runs a daring crew of swindlers who steal from the rich to feed the poor. When a beloved cab driver vanishes, Jackson’s career hangs in the balance—find the man or face dismissal. Desperate for answers, he must turn to Kit, whose criminal expertise could crack the case. Yet their uneasy alliance is fraught with tension: Jackson risks arresting Kit for theft, while Kit risks losing her freedom if she refuses. As they navigate a labyrinth of deceit, corruption, and hidden motives, they discover that the line between saint and sinner is far thinner than they ever imagined.
