The Spear Cuts Through Water

by Simon Jimenez · 2022

Two warriors, Jun of the Red Peacock Brigade and outcast Keema, shepherd an ancient Moon goddess across a shattered land to end the tyrannical reign of the Moon Throne. The despotic emperor and his monstrous sons, the Three Terrors, have long oppressed the countryside with powers stolen from the god locked beneath their palace. When the goddess escapes her royal captivity, she flees from her own children and embarks on a five‑day pilgrimage with Jun and Keema. Their journey becomes a sweeping adventure and an intimate exploration of identity, legacy, belonging, love, and rebellion against a centuries‑old tyranny.
