The Someday Garden

by Ashley Poston · 2026

When Sophie Drear takes a summer job as head gardener at the storied Lilymoor House in coastal Maine, she expects a quiet escape among fragrant blooms and winding hedges. Instead, the estate’s enchanting grounds conceal a shifting door that leads to a hidden, unfinished garden—and a brooding man trapped within its tangled vines. As the foliage rebels, vines threaten the maze, and the enigmatic owner’s plans for succession grow ever more complicated, Sophie finds herself drawn to the quirky staff, the mysterious lady who runs the manor, and an attractive nephew who’s also spending the summer there. Balancing her growing affection for the people of Lilymoor with the urgent need to restore its failing gardens, Sophie must untangle both the secrets of the secret garden and her own heart, discovering that the key to the estate’s rebirth may lie in the love she never expected to find.
