Suspended in the Stars

by E. A. Hendryx · 2023

When Talie Zarna, the celebrated Soaring Staress of the circus spaceship Midway, is forced to shelter a fugitive soldier, the galaxy’s fragile peace teeters on the brink. Renner Cartha, a former royal guard clutching damning evidence of a high‑level assassination, must deliver his proof to the Xerus Galaxy’s High Council—if he can stay alive long enough. Hiding among acrobats and alien performers, Talie’s dazzling act masks a dangerous secret, and Renner’s reckless charm clashes with the gravity of his mission. As Renner’s old captain, Jas Uli‑Tai, closes in, the duo is thrust from the safety of the Phenomena circus into a perilous chase that uncovers deep corruption within the Council itself. With a roguish smuggler and the underground resistance known as The Rising as their only allies, Talie and Renner must decide whether to flee, fight, or risk everything to ignite a galaxy‑wide rebellion.
