The Jasad Heir

by Sara Hashem · 2023

Ten years after the kingdom of Jasad was razed and its magic outlawed, the surviving heir, Sylvia, has hidden her identity and powers, living a quiet life while the Nizahl armies scour the lands for any trace of her people. When Arin, the ruthless heir of Nizahl, discovers a group of Jasadi rebels in Sylvia’s village, a flash of anger forces her to reveal magic—capturing his attention and thrusting her into a deadly bargain. To stay alive, Sylvia must become Nizahl’s Champion in the brutal Alcalah tournament, hunting the very rebels she once protected while Arin uses her as bait to flush out the resistance. As the two heirs clash, their hatred slowly twists into something more complex, and Sylvia is torn between the freedom she has fought for and the destiny of a kingdom that still burns for a queen. In this Egyptian‑inspired epic, forbidden magic, political intrigue, and a slow‑burn romance collide, forcing a fugitive queen to choose the life she earned or the throne she abandoned.
