A Fate So Cold

by Amanda Foody, C. L. Herman · 2025

When the endless summer of Alderland is shattered by a six‑week winter that razes towns, the kingdom’s magicians scramble to defend it with powerful seasonal wands. The greatest Summer wand in a century awakens and, against all odds, chooses Domenic Barrow—an unlikely, reluctant student—to wield it. Across the city, Ellery Caldwell, a driven Summer magician, accidentally creates the first Winter wand, marking her as the other half of an unprecedented prophecy. As the Chosen Two, Domenic and Ellery must unite to stop an icy cataclysm threatening their world. Yet their bond is anything but friendly; ancient rivalries surface, and the only way to save Alderland may demand that one slay the other. In a tale of destiny, duty, and dangerous attraction, love is the last thing they expect—and perhaps the most perilous choice of all.
