In a solar-powered future, humans live in luxury, served by genetically engineered animals known as Little Helpers who maintain the cities while remaining unseen. The animals operate under a strict rule: do not bother the humans. Skotch, a raccoon private investigator, finds himself embroiled in a dangerous conspiracy after accepting a job to find a missing mouse scientist. As he navigates a complex underworld of animal politics, rat gangsters, and deadly assassins, Skotch must uncover secrets that threaten the fragile balance of the animal society and the city itself.
