Snuffed Out

by Valona Jones · 2023

In the charming streets of Savannah, fraternal twins Tabby and Sage Winslow run The Book and Candle Shop, a cozy haven where scented wax meets well‑worn novels. Their complementary personalities—Tabby’s calm precision and Sage’s fiery impulse—make them the perfect partners, until a regular customer, Blithe McAdam, is found dead from a brutal blow to the head. The obvious suspect, shop clerk Gerard, is quickly defended by the twins, who plunge into a tangled investigation of Blithe’s shadowy past. Uncooperative neighbors, a reticent medical examiner, and rumors of a long‑ago drowning threaten to seal Gerard’s fate, while an unseen, deadly energy begins to seep through the shop’s walls. As the clock ticks, Tabby and Sage must untangle secrets, confront a ruthless killer, and protect the friends they love—all while keeping their candle‑lit sanctuary from burning out.
