Before I Knew I Loved You

by Toshikazu Kawaguchi

In the sixth installment of the bestselling *Before the Coffee Gets Cold* series, Toshikazu Kawaguchi returns to the cozy Funiculi Funicula Café in Tokyo, where a special seat offers patrons a chance to travel back in time before their coffee cools. Four new guests— a daughter yearning to reconcile with her mother, a man waiting for a lost reply, a woman anxious to glimpse her future, and a student seeking a final meeting with his deceased father— each embark on poignant journeys that explore love, loss, memory, and the enduring power of connection. As the rules of the café remain unchanged, the stories reaffirm that love transcends time, offering readers a comforting blend of magical realism and heartfelt reflection.
