Highest Bidder

by Sara Cate · 2023

When Daisy Bennett takes a waitressing job at the upscale Salacious Players’ Club, she’s hoping to uncover the truth about a mysterious man from her mother’s past. Instead, she finds herself on the auction block, where the club’s richest patron, the charismatic and unapologetically confident Ronan Kade, bids a staggering six‑figure sum for a single date with her. Daisy, a free‑spirited piano‑player who lives out of a van, is torn between her instincts and the lure of Ronan’s wealth, especially when he reveals a shocking connection to her mother. What begins as a high‑stakes evening spirals into a whirlwind romance that takes them from a night in Paris to a penthouse filled with promises of protection and devotion. As Daisy calls Ronan “Daddy,” the age gap and hidden past threaten to unravel their bond. Both must confront the secrets they’ve kept—Ronan’s hidden history with Daisy’s mother and Daisy’s own concealed motives—if they hope to turn a daring auction into something lasting. A bold, sex‑positive romance that blends intrigue, lavish lifestyles, and heartfelt vulnerability, "Highest Bidder" explores whether love can truly bridge the divide between wealth, age, and the shadows of the past.
