Resistance

by Jaye L. Knight · 2014

In a world where the emperor demands worship of false gods and condemns those who differ, Jace and Kyrin are forced to confront their deepest doubts. Jace, a half‑blood haunted by a tragic loss, watches his faith crumble as memories of a blood‑stained past surface. Kyrin Altair, stolen from her family and trained to serve the throne, hides a secret belief in the true God Elôm while her flawless memory and keen observation earn her a place close to the emperor. When the regime’s edict threatens the lives of the persecuted, the two strangers find themselves drawn together into a covert resistance. As they navigate dangerous loyalties, hidden powers, and the weight of their own fears, Jace and Kyrin must decide whether to risk everything for a chance at freedom and redemption.
