As the expedition unfolds, the crew discovers a human child aboard and startling evidence that a powerful alien civilization is hurtling toward Earth on a massive transport vessel. While the promise of ending famine glimmers, Robin wrestles with the guilt of abandoning his beloved Gelle‑Klara at a black‑hole’s event horizon, hoping the new data might finally let him rescue her.
