Perfect on Paper

by Sophie Gonzales · 2021

Darcy Phillips has a talent for untangling other people’s love lives—she runs a secret, fee‑based advice service out of locker 89, doling out spot‑on guidance to anyone who slides her a note. When the new Australian jock, Alexander Brougham, catches her in the act, he blackmails her into a very different kind of consulting: becoming his personal dating coach to win back his ex‑girlfriend. As Darcy navigates Brougham’s demanding requests, she must keep her own identity hidden, or risk exposing the messy truths behind her advice and losing her best friend Brooke, who’s secretly pining for someone else. A witty, queer‑focused rom‑com that blends the charm of Leah on the Off‑Beat with the heart of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Perfect on Paper follows a bisexual teen whose love advice is flawless, even if her own romance is anything but.
