Sexographies

by Gabriela Wiener · 2018

Gabriela Wiener’s Sexographies is a daring, first‑person chronicle that pushes the boundaries of both genre and gender. The Peruvian journalist slips into the most dangerous Peruvian prison, navigates swinger clubs, roams Paris’s shadowy Bois de Boulogne with transvestites and sex workers, endures the fraught process of egg donation, and joins an ayahuasca ritual deep in the Amazon. Alongside these visceral adventures, Wiener probes the inner terrain of immigration, motherhood, mortality, ugliness and the politics of desire. The result is a bold, unapologetic map of the body and mind—an eye‑opening, kamikaze journey through the messiness of modern life.
