The Infinite State

by Richard Swan · 2026

When Katherine Fuller’s husband, a high‑ranking member of the Decurion Empire’s ruling party Pater Aeternus, dies, she inherits a fortune that could change the galaxy. In a regime where every day is monitored and every life is rigidly stratified, Katherine sees a dangerous chance: buy a pristine, uncolonized world and build a society based on fairness and freedom—a democracy, something the Empire has never allowed. As she secretly gathers allies and begins to shape her new world, the totalitarian state unleashes its full might to crush her rebellion. Richard Swan’s blistering sci‑fi epic follows Katherine’s daring fight for purpose, joy, and a future beyond the Eternal Father’s iron grip, delivering a pulse‑pounding tale of survival and a stark critique of authoritarian rule.
