The Skull Throne is the fourth volume in The Demon Cycle, a fantasy saga set in a world where humanity is pushed to the brink of extinction by night-stalking demons. Following the disappearance of the Warded Man, Arlen Bales, and the Krasian leader Ahmann Jardir after a climactic duel, the world is left without a clear savior. A power vacuum emerges, threatening to tear the Free Cities of Thesa apart through civil war and political maneuvering. As the demon corelings grow stronger, various factions, including the Krasians and the duchies of Angiers and Miln, struggle to secure power and forge alliances, while the fate of the missing leaders remains uncertain.
