Book of Genesis

Genesis, the opening book of the Old Testament, presents the biblical narrative of beginnings: the creation of heaven and earth, the formation of humanity in God's image, the entrance of sin, the flood, and the tower of Babel. It then follows the patriarchal stories of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, establishing God's covenant promises and the foundations of faith, redemption, and divine sovereignty that shape the rest of Scripture and Western cultural thought.
